Floor-to-ceiling glazing and an expansive verandah establish a strong visual and spatial connection to the outdoors, infusing this five-bedroom apartment with abundant natural light and openness. The design adheres to a minimal and functional brief, articulated through a deliberately restrained material palette of wood, stone, and fabric. This limitation allows for material continuity and spatial fluidity, enabling a seamless flow across the home.

The entrance foyer, inherently darker due to its location, is conceived as a moment of contrast and pause. To anchor the space and create a memorable first impression, a sculptural installation carved from a monolithic, highly textured stone block is introduced—an intentional deviation from the otherwise understated language of the interiors.

The pooja space challenges conventional typologies, reimagining the sacred within a contemporary framework. A brass-clad dome forms a defined enclosure for the deity, creating a powerful visual counterpoint to the idol carved from solid black granite. The interplay of materiality and form lends the space a quiet yet commanding presence.

Designed as an extension of the living spaces, the verandah adopts an earthy, outdoor-oriented character. Rugged stone walls and shelving establish tactility, while fluid plinths provide informal seating for social gatherings and intimate mehfil evenings. Central to the space is a swing—integrated at the clients’ request—serving as both a functional and emotive element, encouraging moments of leisure and reflection.
