Located in a gated Society in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, the brief was to design a family home, which will respond the hot and dry climate while at the same time look modern, chic and approachable while also accommodating the needs of an ever growing family.

The site is a corner plot, with roads to the North and West, resulting in these two faces being the front of the home.

The form is kept simple, with sloping planes reminiscing of traditional homes. Generous Openings in the North will bring in plenty of sunlight, while the deep overhangs protect the house from the harsh West Sun-shading the balconies, making them the perfect spillover for a coffee while watching a beautiful sunset. The no compound wall brief allowed us to design a outdoors- indoors connection more efficiently, making the transition barrier free.
